Hi Roy, first of all thank you for your comment and kind words! Secondly I am very sorry for the late reply – we have so much going on on so many different platforms it’s hard to keep track of it all!

66 ultimax is a good choice in terms of feel etc however at 24lbs it will lose it’s tension and livelihood over time. I actually switched to VBS-66 Nano from 66 ultimax because I do like the thin strings. I have tried pretty much every other string on the market too. It is a very similar string yes! I would say it is more durable for sure however I wouldn’t say it kept its tension any longer. Other characteristics such as repulsion and control are very similar. The best thing to do would be to try it and compare the two yourself!

Also make sure you have a good stringer as this can often help your strings hold their tension for longer. If a stringer is not clamping and tying off right, or even in some cases tensioning every other string then this will hinder both the initial tension and also how long the tension will keep for.

Hope that helps!
Greg

I’m a club player who is used to 66 ultimax, but im trying out other strings, as I’m trying to find a similar string that will be more durable and hold its tension better… I’m currently using 24 lbs of tension ( concerned about going higher at the moment due to my shoulder not being 100%) How does the VBS-66 Nano compare to Ultimax in terms of repulsion, control and durability? Are they virtually the same in these respects? Thanks
