After last year\u2019s review, we wanted to focus on enjoying our training which is why this was our highlight for January!<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f20002f elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"f20002f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul style=\"font-size: 18px; background-color: #ffffff; color: #333333;\"><li style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bolder;\">February &#8211;\u00a0<\/span>We went to watch The High Performance Podcast \u2018Live Edition\u2019. This is one of our favourite podcasts to listen to in the car &#8211; we\u2019d highly recommend picking out some episodes and giving it a listen!<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b336016 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"b336016\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul style=\"font-size: 18px; background-color: #ffffff; color: #333333;\"><li style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bolder;\">March &#8211;\u00a0<\/span>We went to watch our favourite tournament, the All England! We were absolutely blown away with how many people came up to say hello and tell us that they watch our videos &#8211; it was definitely something we\u2019ll never forget!<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6d671e0 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"6d671e0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul style=\"font-size: 18px; background-color: #ffffff; color: #333333;\"><li style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bolder;\">April &#8211;\u00a0<\/span>Our German team (BC Wipperfeld) won the Bundesliga for the first time ever! In the final we went 3-0 down before pulling off a big comeback to win 4-3. After months of testing numerous samples, we finally launched our first official piece of \u2018merch\u2019. We also went to Thailand and played the World Number 1, Zheng and Huang! We vlogged the trip, which we loved watching back as we wrote this review \ud83d\ude03<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-38f28d2 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"38f28d2\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul style=\"font-size: 18px; background-color: #ffffff; color: #333333;\"><li style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bolder;\">June &#8211;\u00a0<\/span>Another month spent focusing on training, with the highlight being that we went to watch Wimbledon (which has been on Jenny\u2019s bucket list for a long time!)<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-bed3a07 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"bed3a07\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul style=\"font-size: 18px; background-color: #ffffff; color: #333333;\"><li style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bolder;\">July &#8211;\u00a0<\/span>We took 1 week off training and Badminton Insight work\u00a0<span role=\"img\" aria-label=\"\ud83e\udd2f\">\ud83e\udd2f<\/span>\u00a0For anyone who knows us, this was a big deal. It took weeks of planning (so that we could actually take 7 days off), and we spent this time at home going on bike rides, exploring the local area and watching TV! Looking back at the year up until this point, we had no full \u2018days off\u2019 so it was very much needed!<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2b73fb8 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"2b73fb8\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul style=\"font-size: 18px; background-color: #ffffff; color: #333333;\"><li style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bolder;\">August &#8211;\u00a0<\/span>This was definitely the craziest month of 2022. For those who don\u2019t know, 10 days before the World Championships in Tokyo, we got an email saying we had got into the tournament. A group of 12 players travelled to the National Badminton Centre in Milton Keynes for 8 hours of coaching over 2 days, and we had an amazing time! But as we all know, life doesn\u2019t quite work like that! So what challenges did we face in the last 12 months?<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8a68752 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"8a68752\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p1\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Well, the biggest one for us was\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #333333; text-decoration-line: underline;\">balance<\/span><span style=\"color: #333333;\">. We alluded to this in our highlight for July, but we would say that getting the balance between training full-time, creating weekly YouTube videos along with other Badminton Insight projects, and also trying to make time for each other, our friends and our family is\u00a0<\/span><em style=\"color: #333333;\">difficult<\/em><span style=\"color: #333333;\">.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-88b640b elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"88b640b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p1\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">We definitely didn\u2019t manage to find the right balance for most of 2022 so one of our goals for 2023 is to put \u2018balance\u2019 at the forefront of our minds!<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c5e0576 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"c5e0576\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p1\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">We are of course very aware that if you want to be the best in the world at anything you need to be obsessed and devote the majority of your time and energy into doing that thing, but what we don\u2019t want to happen is for us to stop enjoying what we are doing, whether that\u2019s playing badminton or making YouTube videos!
