This means you\u2019ll hit your flick serve too high and give your opponent too much time to get behind the shuttle and play an attacking shot.<\/li><li>If you hold the shuttle with the <strong>cork facing towards you too much,<\/strong> you\u2019re more likely to either hit it in the net, or do a very flat flick serve.<\/li><li>If you hold the <strong>shuttle sideways,<\/strong> then you\u2019re more likely to hit the feathers and lose some control.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9b032ca elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"9b032ca\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Step 4: Foot Positioning<\/strong><\/p><p>Similar to the low serve (which you can learn more about\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/badminton-insight.com\/how-to-do-a-backhand-serve-in-badminton\/\"><b><u>here<\/u><\/b><\/a>), you can stand with your feet <strong>side by side<\/strong>, with your <strong>racket leg forwards<\/strong>, or your <strong>non-racket leg forwards<\/strong>. Instead, you should hit the shuttle out of your hand.<\/li><li><strong>Leaning back and making it very obvious you are going to play a flick serve<\/strong> \u2013 instead you need to lean slightly forwards with your body weight, as you would do with a low serve.<\/li><li>Using the whole arm and having a <strong>big backswing<\/strong> &#8211; this negatively impacts your <strong>timing and control,<\/strong> and shows your opponents that you are about to do a flick serve!<\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element
