It is played using an AirShuttle, and can be played in a singles, doubles or triples format.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The BWF&#8217;s aim for the AirShuttle is to:<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>&#8220;develop a new outdoor shuttlecock with increased durability, stability and wind resistance.&#8221;<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1aaaea9 elementor-widget elementor-widget-image\" data-id=\"1aaaea9\" class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The five pillar design increases the wind resistance of the shuttle, in an attempt to create a more true flight in outdoor conditions.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7d9f954 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"7d9f954\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4 class=\"p1\"><b>Durability Of The AirShuttle<\/b><\/h4>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8b3ab78 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"8b3ab78\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p1\">After having played for 2 hours, the shuttle held the same shape and condition as when we started playing. This was pleasantly surprising considering we would normally use up to 10 feather shuttles in a 2-hour session!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-87a0d92 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"87a0d92\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4 class=\"p1\"><b>Wind Resistance Of The AirShuttle<\/b><\/h4>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f420de0 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"f420de0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p1\">The BWF recommends that AirBadminton should be played with wind speeds of up to 12kph. The AirShuttle is impacted much more in wind speeds of 11kph compared to 6kph.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ffee362 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"ffee362\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p1\">We strongly agree with the BWF recommendation! We found that we could play a much higher level in the lower wind speeds.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-36533ef elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"36533ef\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Does The AirShuttle Break Strings?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-be9ef1d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"be9ef1d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><b>The recommended string tension for AirBadminton is 18 &#8211; 20 lbs (9kg).<\/b> This is because the AirShuttle is 3g heavier than a feather or plastic shuttle.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-674d561 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"674d561\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p1\">We have played AirBadminton multiple times &#8211; using our normal racket with a string tension of around 28 lbs and also carried out a &#8216;true test&#8217; using string tension of 20 lbs. Although we did not break any strings, we would recommend that a lower tension should be used. We also recommend using a thicker string. Usually the thicker the string, the less likely it is to break! Anything higher than 0.68mm is suggested.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ac20203 elementor-blockquote--skin-boxed elementor-blockquote--align-center elementor-widget elementor-widget-blockquote\" data-id=\"ac20203\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"blockquote.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<blockquote class=\"elementor-blockquote\">\n\t\t\t<p class=\"elementor-blockquote__content\">\n\t\t\t\t\ud83d\udca1 This recommendation means that most players would need to have a separate racket just for AirBadminton.\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/blockquote>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2907e9f elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"2907e9f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Differences Between AirBadminton And Badminton<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3d48a50 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"3d48a50\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><b>The biggest difference between AirBadminton and Badminton are the rules and court dimensions.<\/b> The AirBadminton court dimensions is smaller and the net zone is out, enabling people to play outside without the risk of injury on hard surfaces.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2cf00c4 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"2cf00c4\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">If you want to learn the complete rules of AirBadminton, check out our post <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/badminton-insight.com\/the-rules-of-airbadminton\/\"><b>here<\/b><\/a><\/span><b>. <\/b><\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c1d52ec elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"c1d52ec\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Whilst the key aim for AirBadminton is to improve the accessibility of the game, to play AirBadminton properly <b>you would still require a &#8216;pop-up&#8217; net. <\/b>This isn&#8217;t very accessible for most people.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a87e9bb elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"a87e9bb\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p1\">However, for a recreational game of AirBadminton you would only need some rackets and an AirShuttle. We don&#8217;t believe that a net, or the court markings are essential to have some fun and practice your skills outside!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6525fdb elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"6525fdb\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p1\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">The AirShuttle is considerably better for playing badminton outdoors compared to trying to use a feather or a plastic shuttle.
