But these need to be accurate otherwise they might get you into trouble!<\/li><li><strong>You should still take the shuttle early even when you know you&#8217;re going to play a lift!<\/strong> Don&#8217;t wait for it to drop down otherwise it might be more obvious to your opponent and will also put them under less pressure.<\/li><li><strong>Don&#8217;t just stand there and watch your lift<\/strong> after you&#8217;ve hit it. right from the start of the rally and in fact <b>professional players used some sort of deception in 10% of their returns.<\/b><!-- notionvc: 4236a765-9690-4bb6-887f-be6ada2ea6e3 --><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-409221c elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"409221c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p1\">This deceptive net is played when the serve comes to your backhand side (from the right box if you\u2019re right handed and the left box if you\u2019re left handed).\u00a0<\/p><p class=\"p1\">Here, you look like you&#8217;re going to play a straight shot and then at the last second you turn your shoulders to face the left side if you\u2019re right-handed and the right side if you&#8217;re left-handed and play
