You want to stand with your non-racket leg in front and this will take most of your weight.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element are a few other variables that may alter where you stand when considering the flick serve as well.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1be731b elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1be731b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" movement after this position (Section 3)! It is good to experiment with your starting position \u2013 try and challenge yourself to see how high up the court you can stand, whilst still managing to achieve an effective return of both the low and flick serve!<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f84971c elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"f84971c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">2. Racket Preparation<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-bcb68d8 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"bcb68d8\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p1\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Your grip and racket position are key when returning a low, flick or even a drive serve!<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a53e3ea elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"a53e3ea\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p1\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">You should hold your racket with a\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: bolder; color: #333333;\">neutral bevel grip,<\/span><span style=\"color: #333333;\">\u00a0allowing you to easily switch to a backhand or forehand depending on where your opponent serves to.<\/span><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\" style=\"color: #333333;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ae762eb elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"ae762eb\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p1\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">With this grip, you ideally want to hold your racket a little out in front of you, making sure there is a good amount of bend in your arm. Similarly to the chassee movement, this begins by driving off your front leg, and lifting up your back leg for the initial position change, but then as your back leg reconnects with the floor, use both of your legs to jump backwards. You can then land either on your racket leg, or choose to kick-though to land on your non-racket leg.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-79fa5a6 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"79fa5a6\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">As we mentioned, your movement will vary depending on the type of flick serve that you are receiving:<\/span><\/p><ul><li><span style=\"color: #333333;\">If you are flicked to your round-the-head side, you will always want to use a scissor kick movement.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Whereas, if the flick goes to your forehand side, you can jump out to a flat flick, or use the scissor kick again for a high flick (when you have a bit more time)!<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ce009d9 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"ce009d9\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">4. For example, if they rarely flick throughout the game, you can edge up the court slightly to try and be earlier and more aggressive on their low serve.
